The Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) organized an interaction with the Visiting Delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Mr. Akmal Burkhanov, Director of Development Strategy Center (DSC) and Member of Parliament, Uzbekistan. The senior-level delegation was accompanied by H. E. Farhod Arziyev, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India. From the VIF, discussions were led by Director Dr Arvind Gupta, Amb D. P. Srivastava, Amb Skand Ranjan Tayal, Amb Rajeev Sikri, Amb Ashok Sharma, Lt Gen Ravi Sawhney and Prof Nirmala Joshi also took part in the discussion.

The Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) held a Round Table Discussion on “The Iran Nuclear deal and the Implications for India”. Former Ambassadors to the US, Iran and Middle East were invited to participate in this discussion for their inputs from their vast knowledge and experience in the area.

The European Union's (EU) Ambassador to India and Bhutan Tomasz Kozlowski participated in a high-level Roundtable meeting on the growing engagement between the EU and India. His speech covered the positive development of relations in recent years and the main areas of the EU-India Strategic Partnership. There was a lively discussion after the presentation, chaired, by VIF Director Dr Arvind Gupta. Summary of Ambassador Kozlowski's Briefing:

.... Traditionally, security at sea has been theorised and interpreted rooted in traditional realist or liberalist theories. In the realist interpretation, the seas are the plains on which superpower, or regional power rivalry, takes place, whereas realist debates have been focused on increasing investments in navies by emerging powers and territorial disputes to consolidate claims on offshore resources.
