VIF invites applications for the position of Research Associate

I. Work Profile

• To identify data sources needed to undertake Data centered analysis at VIF. Data sources could include base data from open statistical data sources (national and multilateral institution data sets), social media data, search engine metadata etc.
• Download data and maintain such repository at local computers inside VIF premises and on online IT assets.
• Help in Statistical and Data Science based analysis of data themes.

II. Qualification Required

• Graduate in Computer Science/Graduate in Engineering with Computer Science.
• Aptitude in Data oriented research.
• Exposure to Statistical data analysis.

III. Desirable

• Exposure to AI based data analysis techniques.
• Aptitude for Interdisciplinary research work on National Security / IR-related issues.
• Past work experience in any of the related domains.

For all the above posts, candidates must have:

• Excellent command over spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of research methodology.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Experience in think tanks will be preferred.
• Compensation: Commensurate with ability and experience.
