A two-day seminar on ‘India Defence Vision 2025’ was organised by Vivekananda International Foundation on May 25-26, 2011. Spread over six sessions, the seminar focused on different facets of India’s national defence from a futuristic perspective. The seminar focused on national and defence vision, in the light of changing geo political and security environment. ‘Breaking India – Western Interventions in Dravidian and Dalit Faultlines’a book jointly authored by Rajiv Malhotra, chief of the Princeton based Infinity Foundation and a Distinguished Fellow, Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) and Aravindan Neelakandan, intellectual activist, columnist and popular science writer from Tamil Nadu, was released at VIF auditorium on 9th February, 2011. A galaxy of speakers participated in the discussion on the theme of the book.

Inaugural Session The Conference commenced with the Opening Address by Air Cmde Jasjit Singh AVSM VrC VM (retd.), Director, Centre for Air Power Studies, followed by Keynote Address by Air Marshal KJ Mathews AVSM YSM, Commander-in-Chief, Strategic Forces Command. The Presidential Address delivered by Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh DFC was followed by Keynote Address by Air Chief Marshal PV Naik PVSM VSM ADC, Chief of the Air Staff. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr M Pallam Raju, Minister of State for Defence, Govt. of India.
