COVID-19 International Developments: Daily Scan, May 29, 2020
The coronavirus pandemic “has disrupted the production of many key statistics,” the International Monetary Fund said in a blog post this week. The IMF explained that lockdown measures in many countries to contain the virus has hampered physical visits to stores to survey retail prices, while businesses that have to temporarily shut may not have the resources to respond to questionnaires about production and investment plans.
