India, Pakistan exchange list of nuclear installation

India and Pakistan on Monday exchanged, through diplomatic channels simultaneously at New Delhi and Islamabad, the list of nuclear installations and facilities under a three-decade old bilateral pact.

Defence ministry clears purchase of smart bombs, missiles

The defence ministry on Tuesday said minister Nirmala Sitharamanhad "cleared two procurement proposals" worth Rs 1,714 crore to acquire 240 precision-guided bombs from Russia and 131 Barak missiles from Israel.
The Rs 1,254 crore acquisition of the 240 "smart" KAB-1500 laser-guided bombs for Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets from M/s JSC Rosoboron Exports (Russia) will "address the deficiency of precisionguided munitions" in the IAF's arsenal as well as "enhance the offensive capabilities" of the force. Centre okays Rs 6,808-cr Zojila tunnel project

The Centre today approved the strategic Zojila tunnel project for Jammu and Kashmir with a total capital cost of Rs 6,808.69 crore. The tunnel will provide all-weather connectivity to the Ladakh region.
