Vimarsha: Panel Discussion on Political Stability and Transformation of Union Budget

A special edition of Vimarsh was organized on Political Stability and Transformation of Union Budget at the Vivekananda International Foundation on February 15, 2020. The public event which marked the launch of the newly set-up VIF Centre for Economic Studies, brought together an eminent panel comprising of Sh. S. Gurumurthy, Chairman, VIF; Member of Parliament [RS] Sh. Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Vice Chairman, Centre for Economic Studies; Ambassador Prabhat P. Shukla, Distinguished Fellow, VIF and Dr. Arvind Gupta, Director, VIF.

India’s Space Programme: Achievements and Prospects

On 17th January 2020, Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) held its monthly ‘Vimarsha’ lecture series on the important subject of India’s Space Programme. Dr A.S Kiran Kumar, former Chairman ISRO, was invited to speak on the opportunities, challenges and perspectives on Indian Space missions. Dr Kiran Kumar is presently Vikram Sarabhai Prof at ISRO and a member at Space Commission as well as Governing Council of Indian Institute of Science.

Vimarsha: Vivekananda and National Regeneration

VIF held the first Vimarsha of the year on January 13, 2020. The highlight of this session of Vimarsha was the key note address delivered by Pravarjika Divyandaprana. The topic was ‘Vivekananda and National Regeneration’.

A Special Lecture by Shri S. Gurumurthy, was organized at Vivekananda International Foundation on December 27, 2019 in the latest session of the monthly Vimarsha series. Shri Gurumurthy, Chairman-VIF and Editor-Tughlak, is a senior Economic & Political Analyst, and a renowned author. He also serves as the Independent Director in the Board of Governors of the Reserve Bank of India.

Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) held its monthly ‘Vimarsha’ lecture series on 14th October 2019, which was a panel discussion that focused on a very pertinent topic ‘Indraprastha-A Capital Journey’. The topic is highly relevant for our times as there is an absolute neglect of understanding the ancient historicity of our capital city.

Lt General Syed Ata Hasnain, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM (Bar), VSM (Bar), former General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based 15 Corps and former Military Secretary was invited to disseminate his knowledge on Jammu and Kashmir in the March edition of the Vimarsha lecture series held at the VIF.
