Significance of First India-Central Asia Summit

India-Central Asia relations have witnessed an upward trajectory in the recent past. The key factor behind the renewed India-Central ties is the consistency in bilateral and multilateral dialogue and discussion. There already exists an India-Central Asia Dialogue mechanism at the foreign ministers level. A summit level meeting between India and leaders of five Central Asian countries will add more value to India’s multilateral engagement with Central Asia.
