The Trump administration is making all efforts to ensure that any IMF loan to Pakistan is not used to repay its Chinese debt, a US official told lawmakers on Wednesday.
“We are working and making clear within the IMF that if it were going to supply any funding to Pakistan that it would not be used to repay Chinese loans,” David Malpass, Under Secretary of Treasury for International Affairs, told lawmakers during a Congressional hearing.Click here to read..

India is now stepping-up efforts for a concrete military outreach to Africa after a diplomatic one to counter the deep strategic inroads made by China in the world’s second largest continent, even as the two Asian rivals continue with their shadow-boxing for influence in the Indian Ocean Region.
India will conduct an “India-Africa Field Training Exercise (IAFTX)” in Pune from March 18 to 27 next year, which will see the participation of over a dozen countries ranging from Tanzania and Kenya to Ghana and South Africa, said defence ministry sources on Wednesday.Click here to read..

Secret agencies in Bangladesh have exposed the alleged nexus between pro-jihadist Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) who were planning to target the members of a court dealing with war crimes.

India Monday signed an ascension pact to the 30-member Trans Regional Maritime Network that will give it an access to the information on ships passing through the Indian Ocean Region.
