Leading a three-member delegation, Dr. Arifi Saiman, Director, Centre for Policy Development and Analysis on Asia-Pacific and African Region, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, visited the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) on 26 May 2017. Dr. Muhammad Zakaria Al-Anshori, Vice Director for Asia and Pacific Affairs and Mr. Sigit Aris Prasetyo, Head of Sub Division for African Sub Saharan Countries from the Centre for Policy Development and Analysis on Asia Pacific and African Region, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, were the other two members of the Indonesian delegation. The delegation held talks with senior faculty members of the VIF in the context of establishing the Indian Ocean Rim Association – Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IORA-CEPA), including its possibilities, challenges and future. General NC Vij, Director, VIF, chaired the meeting, while Lt Gen Ravi Sawhney, Amb Dinkar Srivastava, Amb Ashok Kantha and Vice Adm Anil Chopra, among others, made valuable interventions during the discussions.
