Riya Sinha is a researcher with experience in working on regional trade, investment and connectivity in South Asia, India’s maritime infrastructure and logistics, and confidence building measures in Jammu and Kashmir. Prior to joining VIF as a consultant, she was working with Bureau of Research on Industry and Economic Fundamentals (BRIEF), New Delhi, as a Research Associate. She has written for national dailies and online portals such as The Hindu, The Pioneer, Quint, and Rediff. She has also authored a chapter in the book – Modi’s Cultural Diplomacy and Soft Power – Issues and Challenges (2016) on Cross-Line of Control Trade through Jammu and Kashmir. She has also undergone training with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on private participation in trade and regional integration in South Asia. She has also presented papers at national seminars on reforming India’s neighbourhood economic policy.
