Dr. Anil Rawat is a well known academician, an ace institution builder and an edupreneur. He has been associated with the founding of various academic institutions in Delhi and Bengaluru. Currently he is mentoring few organisations under the Make in India, Skill India and Digital India programmes. He earned his M. Phil & Ph. D from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, (Japanese Studies, Centre for East Asian Studies) New Delhi. As researcher he spent several years in Japan at the University of Tokyo and subsequently as Senior Fellow on Japan Foundation Fellowship at the Yokohama National University. He speaks Japanese. Along with Japanese studies he also underwent training in Management of Technology from the University of Sussex and University of Brighton under the World Bank sponsored programme. He has contributed a number of research papers on Technology, Innovation and sustainability. He has remained active in the International Association for Management of Technology since 1998. Recipient of Rajasthan State Merit Scholarship for Higher Studies, Japan Foundation Professional Fellowship, UNESCO Fellowship for Future Studies, Karnataka Kala Samskruti Vedike award for Excellence in Education, Indira Priyadarshini Award for Social Service, and Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi Award for Institution Building, Kannada Rajyotsava Rathna 2012 for Education Innovation to Promote Gandhian Values for Sustainability & Corporate Governance. Currently he is leading two research projects “Japanese Perceptions of India Through the Ages: A Civilisational Journey” “Gandhian Values: Sustainability and Corporate Governance”
