Amb. VP Haran joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1980. With a long career in the service, he served as Deputy Permanent Representative to WTO in Geneva, Dy. Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Nepal, India's Ambassador to Syria, and India's Ambassador to Bhutan.
