Dr Shambhavi Anand is a Research Assistant at the Vivekanand International Foundation, New Delhi. She holds a PhD from the Department of African Studies, University of Delhi, India. She completed her M.Phil from the same department. Shambhavi has a Master’s in History, specialising in Modern Indian History, from Hindu College, University of Delhi. She graduated in History from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. She has interned at the Ministry of Women and Child Development which helped her gain valuable firsthand experience in gender studies and public policy. Her primary area of research is Africa, with a special focus on conflict and security issues, as well as the role of Africa in international geopolitics.
