Anton Sokolov is a renowned Energy Development expert with keen focus on the Arctic Issues and more than 10 years of academic and practical experience. Being from military and technical cooperation background Anton has participated in number of major Russo-Indian projects, such as delivery and acceptance trials and on-board personnel training at INS ‘Vikramaditya’. Mr. Anton Sokolov is a graduate of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (among Top-25 Russian Universities as per THE 2023, Top-10 Russian Oil and Gas Universities as per RAEX 2024), holding master’s degrees with honors in Deep Offshore Drilling. He is also a specialist in Linguistics and Intercultural Communication. Mr. Sokolov is a guest expert at several major Russian energy industry and federal media like Kommersant and is currently pursuing his PhD in Energy Development. Mr. Sokolov was a part of the ‘Arctic Energy’ research team at Skolkovo Energy Center being responsible for analysis of BRICS strategies for the Arctic with a focus on India and Brazil. Anton has been nominated as a member of the Security section of the Saint-Petersburg Arctic Public Academy of Sciences, Russia. He is also Guest Lecturer at the Saint-Petersburg University, Russia. Mr. Sokolov is a member of the Expert Board of Russian Gas Society since 2018.
