The European Union (EU) has begun discussions to provide Maldives with EUR 6.5 million (MVR 1 billion) for environmental protection. The discussions were attended by officials from the Ministry of Environment, the EU and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). During the meeting, discussions were held for the launch and implementation of the grant project, the Environment Ministry's official X account said in a post.
