Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) has included a female officer for the first time in its next overseas deployment in the Central African Republic, under UN command. SLAF says it is the seventh UN helicopter deployment contingent. The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, took the salute of the parade, commanded by Wing Commander Sampath Liyanarachchi, the Contingent Commander.
