On March 12, 2018, Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) hosted a group of teachers and students from the MIT School of Government, Pune. The session was chaired by Brig Vinod Anand. The other members on the panel were Shri RNP Singh (Senior Fellow), Cmde Somen Banerjee (Senior Fellow) and Ms Gunjan Singh (Associate Fellow).
Brig Anand started the discussion by giving a backgrounder to the functioning of the history and functioning of the VIF. He also discussed how the VIF has been playing an important role in helping the Government in shaping its foreign and domestic security policies.
During a lively and informative interaction, students of the MIT had a number of questions regarding the Indian foreign policy and domestic security issues. The questions were focused on China, Tibet, Maritime Security, Kashmiri Pandits, Freedom of Navigation and the ongoing emergency and violence in Sri Lanka.
