New Delhi: Vivekananda International Foundation, a think-tank, today rubbished reports linking it with Ved Prakash Vaidik whose meeting with 26/11 mastermind Hafeez Saeed in Pakistan triggered a row.

“For the last two days, there have been various reports in the media linking Vivekananda International Foundation with Ved Pratap Vaidik. We wish to categorically state that VIF has no association whatsoever with Ved Pratap Vaidik,” Editor at the Foundation K G Suresh said in a statement.

He said Vaidik was never associated with the Foundation even in the past.

Vaidik, a journalist who is considered close to yoga guru Ramdev, has come under attack for his meeting with Saeed in Lahore on July 2 while touring Pakistan.

With Congress mounting a strong attack on it, the government yesterday condemned the meeting Vaidik had with Saeed and sought a report from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad about whether they were aware of it.
